MARMOL CLIFF | TUBURAN CEBU

MARMOL CLIFF, TUBURAN CEBU Tuburan Municipality, where Marmol is located, is in the northwestern side of Cebu Province, the Philippines. Marmol Cliff (Marble Cliff) is made up of two big rock formations that line the passageway of a river. It is shallow during sunny days, but when it rain, the water rises up to 20 feet. These stones are said to sparkle when the sun-rays hit the stones. HOW TO GET THERE? The journey to the Marmol Cliff starts at the Cebu North Bus Terminal. Just hop on a bus going to the town of Tuburan. Travel time to the town is around three hours depending on the traffic. After reaching the town, you can get a ride on a motorcycle for hire to take you to the place. If you are bringing your own vehicle, it is advisable to leave it in the town since it will be necessary to go through the river to get to the cliff. It is better to hire a motorcycle in going to the cliff since the drivers know how to go through the river using its shallow parts. Y

After a seed germinates, the dao quickly grows to a height of 10 to 15 feet in two years and about 20 feet tall in five and a half years The diameter of the Heritage Tree of Jagbuaya in Tuburan is around seven meters. Since the tree is not located along the national highway, it is necessary to ask residents for directions to get to it. BIGA PIT, TOLEDO CEBU Toledo’s very own Biga Pit is a mine pit, a quarry located and owned by the Carmen Copper Cooperation. People are only allowed to enter the area for educational purposes or private tours and not for recreational.  According to Carmen Copper Cooperation, the place is used to detonate bombs recovered from areas in the province and though the water is weirdly blue, underneath it is tons of tailings.  How to get there? Exact location: Barangay Biga, Toledo City, Cebu BY COMMUTE:  Take any jeepney or multicab going to Tabunok/Minglanilla/Naga. Ask the driver or conductor first if it will pass by Tabunok. Disembark Tabunok public Market. From there, ride a habal-habal that can take you to Biga Pit. Estimated fare is around ₱200-250 per head (roundtrip). BY PRIVATE: If you have your own private vehicle/motorcycle, you can use Google Maps or Waze and search for “Biga Pit” in Toledo. Entrance fee: None (but you cannot go inside)

  LAKE BENSIS or LAKE PINGGANON is located at Brgy. LOAY TOLEDO province of Cebu. The lake is also known as “Lake Bensis” primarily because it was claimed to be situated at Sitio Pingganon, Brgy. Sinsin, Cebu. Formerly, the site was a mining pit that was then closed. Over time, the area turned out to be a verdant and Eden-like lake.
